One of my favorite things to do every week is to give of my treasures and resources to provide an immersive experience for Sunday and Wednesday services at Mountainview Church. Based on Rancho Cucamonga, the church began looking for new ways to improve the quality and production of its services in 2018. In January of 2019, I began laying the groundwork to assist in bringing a dynamic and rotational service with the introduction of becoming a Light Tech.
The introduction of important lighting principles such as the impact of rich and dense colors along with implementing reflection, stage dynamity, and absorption of the individuals and equipment on the stage brought forth a new introduction: increase more production.
This change of a non-variable stage layout to making every element of the stage important called for an overhaul of production-related changes. The team consisted of 4-man group of a Light Tech, Sound Engineer, Visual Tech, and Camera Operator. Over 3 years later, the production team has expanded to over 15 members, expanding to a Production Director, a Camera Crew, and an Online Streaming Team. I am blessed every day to be a part of the church, and very thankful to be a part of the production team.
